AJG Barbados BARP Ad Portrait - 201015 - HI RES

There is no doubt that the economic situation has affected every Barbadian household. More so it has substantially decreased the spending power of BARP members, especially pensioners who already live on a limited budget.

As the membership of BARP grows, the Association continues to partner with Corporate Barbados in an effort to lower the cost of living of its 40,000 plus members.

BARP's partnership with CGM Gallagher in launching the Golden Homes Group Homeowners Insurance Plan, affirms its position that home insurance is an absolute necessity in reducing the vulnerability of its members. This home insurance plan will offer security regarding one of their most valued assets and is underwitten by A.M. Best A Rated insurers who has been operating for several years across the Caribbean.

Under the Golden Home Group Homeowners Insurance Plan, BARP members can insure any residential property including condominiums, town houses, villas, apartment blocks and individual homes. Construction can be of wood, concrete or a combination of both. They may also insure their contents, even if renting. Buildings and contents are covered against a range of events including flood, hurricane, earthquake and related perils.

The plan provides cover for loss of rent/alternative accommodation, accidental damage to building and contents, public liability, personal liability and employers' liability. All these are covered at limits that offer more benefits.

BARP Members also benefit from flexible payment options, lower deductibles and more savings on their curent insurance plan.

To join the programme, BARP members must be in good financial standing. For further information, contact CGM Gallagher, 434-2200/434-2282 or BARP, 228-7554.

Eighty-two-year-old Alva Brown sat with a smile on his face and watched as Food For The Poor (FFP) workers constructed his new home in Steer Town, St Ann. After years of living in a badly deteriorated house the elderly man and his daughter Kayon were happy to finally have a comfortable dwelling.
